Having grown up in Sussex, and a quick career in electrics, I joined the RAF in the early 1980s and worked as a ground photographer, which brought me to RAF Brawdy in Pembrokeshire. I have now clocked up over 25 years in the business; I started with being a wedding and press photographer in Haverfordwest in the mid 80s, and it was in early 90s that I seriously went into Stock photography, supplying travel and landscape pictures to many of Europe's leading Picture Libraries. This has allowed me to travel all over Europe with pictures being sold worldwide.

I am now lucky enough to live near Tenby in Pembrokeshire, South West Wales, where I am surrounded by some of the most beautiful and dramatic scenery in the UK. It’s always good to return to such a beautiful area after my trips abroad.

Having been taught on large format cameras, over the years I have been slowly getting into smaller formats, e.g. 6x7cm and for a short time 35mm. Now I am fully digital, using a Canon 1DS with an extensive range of lenses, which includes 2 shift lenses – I do like to have my verticals vertical! I have to say, though, the kit doesn't get any lighter!

I have now found an enjoyable way of putting all of my experiences to good use: I belong to Tenby and District Camera Club, for whom I do the occasional talk and presentation, and I also hope to do some judging for the WPF in the not so distant future. Sometimes it can be a challenge for everybody getting used to the current world of photography in the digital age, and it is good for us all to learn together and share experiences.

These days my pictures are available from many different agencies on the web – please see the links on the purchase images page. I am also happy to deal direct with prospective clients, so please feel free to contact me with your requirements, and I'm sure we can find something to suit.
